5,000 BAPTISMS IN THE TINY COUNTRY OF EL SALVADOR
If it happened in the USA, that would be 250,000 baptisms (the US is 50 times bigger).  If it happened in Australia, that would be 20,000 baptisms (Australia has four times more people).  What has just happened in Central America shows what Jesus can do when His people have a hunger for God and passionately want to share His Good News. GLORY BE TO GOD!

EL SALVADOR SHOWS THE WAY
Ninety-three small evangelistic campaigns across the country plus a giant one in the biggest football stadium in Central America plus the mighty work of the Holy Spirit is GOD’S RECIPE FOR SUCCESS.  Two hundred pastors with their leaders joined together to preach the truths of the Bible, and John Carter and his team ministered to 50,000 souls in the National Stadium. This was God’s doing and it is marvelous in our eyes.  We were God’s instruments.

A BREATH OF FRESH AIR
Two hundred pastors plus six local church presidents all enthusiastically worked together to save the lost for Jesus. They rolled up their sleeves, praised God, opened their Bibles, and preached the Word. Each local church coordinated the transportation of the people and each person was given his or her designated seat in the huge stadium. The organization was outstanding.

DID YOU SAY 700 BUSES?
Actually it was 710 buses, rented to bring people together from all over the nation.  Who paid the bill?  The Carter Report rented 550 buses and the locals paid for the rest.

PLEASE KEEP THE LIGHT BURNING
Give now to save souls in Central America.  Help The Carter Report team continue to save and keep the lost for Jesus.  Remember this is God’s Work!  Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all nations.”

INTELLIGENT GIVING
The El Salvador campaign cost the best part of a million dollars, the price of a good home in Los Angeles.  Remember, you are responsible for the way the money you give is spent.  If you see it is being misused, give to those who will use it for souls and God’s glory!

DANGER LURKS
If you wander into the wrong areas in El Salvador, you probably will not come out alive.  One pastor visited a sick church member in a gang controlled area and was kidnapped.  He was taken out of the city to be shot.  Only when he was able to demonstrate that he was a Gospel minister was he released.  The Assistant Attorney General of El Salvador, an Adventist Christian, insisted that armed guards accompany The Carter Report team at all times.  One guard, after working with The Carter Report team, was baptized!

ESCAPE FROM DEATH
The deafening sound of the bullets ravaged little Abel and he ran to find cover in his humble home of mud.   He lived during the bloody Civil War taking place in Central America.  During the day he scrambled to hide from the national army and at night from the terrible Salvadorean guerrillas. They snatched young boys for their armies and used them to kill in this absurd war of brother against brother.

Everyday Abel visited the market where the local women gathered, forced to sell fruits and vegetables for the survival of their families.  He prayed for them and talked to them about Jesus and how He could give them peace in the midst of the storm.

One day he was captured and these women revolted against the army. They demanded freedom for this 12 year-old boy with unbreakable faith. “Free our little pastor!” was their relentless demand, “we need this special boy so he can continue preaching and giving us hope.”  Little did these women know they were liberating a young boy who would grow up to become the leader of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in El Salvador, Pastor Abel Pacheco, Union President.
